MERCADO ARTIST INFORMATION

 

MERCADO DETAILS:

Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th,
10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Alumni Hall, Northern New Mexico College, El Rito Campus

Participation and Guidelines:

Our 2026 Mercado will be open to participants from Rio Arriba County.

The Mercado will be accepting applicants with handmade arts & crafts products. Space is limited. Only one space per vendor will be allotted.

All Mercado sellers will have an assigned location to display their wares. We will do our best to accommodate special requests.

Fees and Deadlines:

The fee for participation is $25

Mercado applications are now available and due by July 15 to secure a spot.

Mercado Set-Up:

Saturday, September 12th, 7:00 am - 9:45 am.
All setup must be completed by 9:45 am (the event opens at 10:00 am).
Buildings will be re-opened at 9:00 am on Sunday.

Mercado take-Down:

Sunday, September 13th, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Vendors may not disassemble/pack up before this time.
Vendors are expected to participate both days of the festival.

How to Apply:

You may complete the online application below and pay online or you may mail your application form and check by July 15 to the address below. Applications for the Studio Tour and the Mercado are also available at the El Rito Post Office.
