Paul Roberts is a longtime fan of optical devices of all kinds. He started out making kaleidoscopes out of “junk materials” like used water bottles and PVC tubing, and while he still uses “junk” from time to time, he’s generally graduated to a higher grade of materials, such as wood and plastic. The driveway leading to his house is a work of art in its own right.
